Blue was my anchor, my soft water shelter,
swishing with kisses, and gentle laughter.
My true blue friend, you were always by my side,
you helped me glide through life's rough tides.
You guarded my feelings, granted my wishes,
cradled me safe through conflicts and crashes.
You whispered me secrets that time forgot,
I begged you blues, forget me not.
You showered me with bluebell blooms,
they dispelled my gloom and helped me bloom.
Your playful tales bought me tears of joy,
you are worth your weight in silver coins.
You hushed out shadows and sounds of doubt,
you hugged me tight when the world got loud.
I adored your gifts with all my heart,
I wished we would never drift apart.
I could bathe in your blue waves all day,
but even the gentlest tides pull away.
I deeply longed to still hold on,
to our childhood songs that once hit home.
But once the amber sunlight cracks,
One cannot just turn back.
